Top 10 Upcoming Titles (Delayed)

Top 10 Upcoming Titles

Good day everyone, we are going to cover these titles, some of them which are highly anticipated and some sequels releasing from previous high rated games. This list will not cover any sports related titles due to the fact that they release almost every year and are very renowned like FIFA, NBA and Madden 2k17. The list is not in any order and must not be judged in that way.

10. Titanfall 2                                  Release: 28 Oct, 2016

Starting of the list is Titanfall 2. Its previous title engaged a significant amount of people and has  been awarded VGX Award for Most Anticipated Game of the year 2013 and the sequel on E3 did earn many awards one of which being Examiner Best Sequel. But this time they are debuting single player mode too which looks promising by the looks of the trailer tagged below and it is set to release on Ps4 Xbox One and PC through Origin of course.

The lead engineer Jon Slothy has said about the technical test of Titanfall 2 "Before launch, we will be releasing a multiplayer technical test for Titanfall 2 We need as many players as possible in the multiplayer tech test to make sure we can deliver as smooth a launch experience as possible." So it's obvious that gamers will be receiving a type of a beta test before launch and then we will say what they have to say about the game. Though  he also mentioned what's new in the game such as new matchmaking systems, a new feature called networks and new gameplay mechanics, titans, maps, game-modes and a new progression system. This sounds interesting for both single and multi player. More details can be found here.

Main Game

Titanfall 2 is a first person shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment which is available for pre-order at $60. The players, which are the pilots start with titans, giant robots that can be controller manually as well. The player is the pilot and each has a Titan. There are different classes of Pilots and Titans the player can choose from and customize. They can either play multiplayer with other players or play the debuted single-player with a storyline. We will receive more details of the game as we get closer to the release date
As Titanfall was first only multiplayer but now the addition of single-player i believe would really make it a great deal for the price of $60 as people are constantly wanting more from games and this sequel would surely please them but the competition has grown immensely and i guess we will find out how good the game claims to be and what EA has in store for us for it to compete against its contenders.

9. Horizon Zero Dawn        Release Date: Feb 28, 2017

      PS4 Exclusive

This has been a very unique title by Guerrilla Games as it involves a mix of very odd two words, primitive-machines, say what? Well see for yourself.

Well i am just amazed by this idea of the game, i don't know what time frame to put it in. Other than that the first thing you notice how beautiful the game is and looks gorgeous, this game makes me wanna buy a ps4. The open world environment and the similarity to far cry primal in a way makes it look so vibrant, but wait theres more! Explosions! yes you can set traps, fire explosive arrows and die by a missiles from a 'machine'.
Here's the Trailer for you.

About The Game

The game is a third person action RPG style one. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where machines rule the earth and Aloy a hunter and a archer who decides to find her fate by exploring the dangers she had been kept safe from her whole life. The player (Aloy) sets of and fights mechanized creatures and collects their loot like electricity and their metal for survival. As we saw in the gameplay she uses traps, arrows, explosives and melee attacks to destroy the machines. She tries to find what happened to the previous civilizations and the cause of machines being overrun in this world.

The game is available for pre order at $60 and i believe that this game would be a great hit due to the fact that its already amazed millions of people on E3 and won the award for Best Original Game. The mystery of the 'old ones' really develops the story here and i am definitely eager to play this game as not only it's story line is fascinating but also the RPG elements mixed together with the fluid combat experience.

8. Watch Dogs 2                             Release Date Nov 15, 2016

This sequel offers improved visuals as seen in the game play trailer and the map being twice as large than the previous game. One of the developers added that " we are adding a lot more depth to hacking " which would keep players enjoying the game for hours either through playing around randomly or progressing the story line through different tactics.

About The Game

U play as ( see what i did there ) Marcus Holloway a new protagonist for the story who was framed for crimes he did not commit and so he joins DedSec a hacking collective. They made Marcus who was less bent on taking revenge unlike Aiden Pearce from the previous Watch Dogs and they made him more fun, he enjoys ruining plans of the corrupt corporation Blume the creator of cTOS ( Central Operating System ) instead of vowing to take revenge for the rest of his life, which is the reason why Ubisoft decided to have a new protagonist.

My guess is Ubisoft decided to release a sequel is to learn from their mistakes which included a boring story and the person got to Op after unlocking new hacking skills. They are trying to compete with GTA a very successful franchise which seems like a very tough competition but time will tell if Ubisoft has focused more on being open world and enjoying the game instead of focusing on the story which won't prove fruitful.

Judging by the trailer the game looks incredible as it is set in San Francisco the birthplace of Tech. It would be nice to see country side areas too as they mentioned that they are introducing different areas and showing the lifestyle of the people there, similar to Gta V.

The missions can be played in three different styles as follows, as a Ghost, Aggressor or a trickster. All of these are self explanatory. The game combat looks very fluid, especially the string attatched to the billiard's ball (thunderball). There are new gadgets which seem really nice to assist the player during his missions and the UI looks really renovated.

Watch Dogs 2 seems really good by the looks of the trailer and gameplay but we will have to see how it does against other titles. Ubisoft's way to play the missions are really similar to what they implemented in Assassin's Creed Syndicate. The game must feel good and well optimized if they want PC Gamers to be satisfied and lets hope we don't receive any delays by Ubisoft on the game's release.

7. God Of War            Release Date: Unspecified

PS4 Exclusive

The God Of War also know as God Of War 4 is the eighth installment of the series (chronologically) and it features a much more older Kratos (the protagonist) in a world of  Norse mythology instead of all the previous series of Greek mythology. This game is again a third person action PS4 Exclusive, developed by Santa Monica Studio and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

About The Game

Kratos now, lives with his son in the world of Norse Gods and monsters but in a much secluded place. Out of the shadows of the Gods he must fight to survive and at the same time teach his son to be like him. As seen in the trailer he is trying to control his rage that has driven him for many years. In this new mythology he will face new creatures as seen in trailer. The older Kratos looks much more wiser and experienced. Some articles reports that the the game would be featuring a anger meter which would allow players to control his anger if need be but must also face the consequences which develop with the story.

As we see in the gameplay above, it shows that one major change in Kratos was that the replacement of his signature double chained blades was a magical Battle Axe. Barlog(Cory Barlog, the creative director at Sony Interactive Entertainment's Santa Monica Studio) mentioned that the axe has a connection with the the son and his mother, maybe that shows the magic of the axe as it protrudes out of the head of the enemy and gets stuck in the rock when thrown by Kratos in the game play trailer. This shows off the incredible hand to hand and armored combat of the game. When we see the axe go through the enemies it sometimes shows the animation of it getting stuck inside their body and Kratos pulling it off brutally, which shows how real the developers tried to make the game. They also added that the game would not be open-world (just like their previous series). Although players will play as Kratos but they would also be able to use his son in fights. His son matching the weaker enemies while Kratos himself fights the stronger ones. I believe as there is a RPG element to it, we would be able to train and maybe increase Kratos's son's strength or other abilities.

As Barlog stated that the son helps in combat, traversal, exploration and puzzle solving, so i believe that the son would be and should be a very important character in the game in solving problems his old man would not be able to.Overall, judging by the trailer the game look like yet another hit as people do love this change as God of War's E3 impressions were very positive. The yet to develop relationship with Kratos and his son who wants to prove his worth is a very intimate experience as said by Marty Silva of IGN who seems to finally care of the series now. I believe that as the game is driven by emotions the story-line would be very good and induce the player to play further on and indulge into the game even more.

6. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Release Date: November 4, 2016

After receiving much criticism for it's trailer and game being too futuristic. Call of Duty is releasing their thirteenth primary installment known as Infinite Warfare. What was considered more exciting was that it comes with the remastered edition of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare. The remaster will come along with the original campaign mode and 10 maps for multiplayer.

About the game

This time it's the battle for the solar system, Call of Duty focusing on outer-space battles here. Pretty simple campaign, there's some bad-ass Antagonist and we fight them to stop them taking over presumably the solar system here. The game is set in a very futuristic universe as the Earth has just worn out so people now live in space colonies. Ain't that fun?

 ^Trailer^

^Gameplay^

Why bother getting it?

Well personally i won't because i'm more of a boots-on-the-ground type of guy and i know the space battles would be very assisting towards completing the objective or something in campaign and i'd better enjoy Elite Dangerous types of games there but if you're a fan of the futuristic stuff following in Call Of Duty then i believe you won't be disappointed. Major part of the community wanted World war type of a game but Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg stated that "we also have millions of people in our community who want to have new innovative experiences in the game each year and Infinite Warfare is going to deliver that." Well there you have it. The game is available for pre-order at 60$ for the Standard Edition and $100 for the Digital
Deluxe edition which includes the Modern Warfare remaster. Here's the link for Pre-order.

5. For Honor   Release Date: February 14, 2017

This game reminds me of medieval fighting and Oh man did i love those types of genres. This game is purely based on hand-to-hand-combat and of course has a medieval setting to it. It is in course of development and more features are being added to it.

About The Game

Players chooses a faction either Knights, Samurai or Vikings and each faction has different weapons and skills which makes the game more diverse. For even more diversity I was hoping for sub-classes which i hope is implemented further on. The cinematic trailer showed how different the fighting style will be of the game  than most games. The devs introduced a new innovative control scheme which they refer to as " The art of battle." Head over to the game-play (which includes both multiplayer battles and campaign mission) and u will know what i mean. I realizedThe blood and gore seem pretty realistic when the viking shoved his axe through the Samurai's body. (Gameplay below)

The Art of Battle

As you may have noticed the combat system is very unique and seems very tactical not only in duels but also in competitive game modes. It's all in the R stick. The defending player places his weapon either at his top , right or left side to defend and those respective sides and similarly in attacking the player places his weapon on that designated sides in which he will attack after he locks on the other player. No other game has been able to provide a combat system like this and this Art Of Battle Combat system has already made me like this game even more.

The game looks very promising and makes me really want to join the thrill of it. However the next year release date feels like an eternity. The atmosphere created in the campaign mode feels very incredible and i hope this game by Ubisoft does not disappoint the audience, but it does looks like they spent a lot of time making it.

4. Battlefield One

Release Date: October 21, 2016

Set in the period of World War One, Battlefield tends to simulate the brutality of war similar to it's previous titles and it obviously supports single-player campaign and multiplayer up to 64 players. Significant footage has been shown off and closed betas created by EA which i consider to be a very bold move against it competitors.

About The Game

Back in the era of Heil Hitler Bf1 takes place in the days of horses, swords and some legendary guns. But before you think without fastpaced weapons you'll instantly be slamed by reality, which includes the slow reload times and those incredibly vulnerable zepplins. The developers changed that adding a new level of brutality or in other words, Getting up close and personal, whether that be bashing skulls or swinging a spade like a bat on someone's head and even a enraged bayonet charge for that matter.
This first person shooter has already attracted a lot of attention mainly due to it's much acclaimed World War one setting. The base game resembles from it's previous series but includes much improved graphics and other new features. It's trailer has been the most liked trailer on YouTube.

Over to the actual game, Battlefield includes 6 main classes for players to choose from namely assault, medic, support, scout, tanker and pilot. Pretty self explanatory so i won't touch there. Apart from being up close and personal it has a very destructive environment. The walls can be run down by tanks and if a zeppelin crashes it'll annihilate the area including players around it. Of-course it features world war one tanks, planes and guns. As the release date closes in, more game-play videos are brought up by youtubers so quite some stuff has been revealed.

The best part i believe is that the game features a random constantly changing weather system which no doubt always has a big impact on the game-play and multiplayer matches. For example if there are thunderstorms, you probably can't snipe as the rain would interfere between your vision and someone would probably mercilessly stab you in the back before you even have the time to react. Battlefield has been given a very positive response from not only it's community but as well as the game critics and has been already awarded the best action game by them.
