Nvidia just unveiled their most POWERFUL GPU ever!
Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of NVIDIA has presented their top of the line GPU, named TITAN X ULTIMATE. The making of this GPU has quite a interesting story.
Brian Kelleher, their top hardware engineer bet his CEO that they could get more than 10 Teraflops of performance from a single GPU. Finding this absolutely deranged he accepted the bet, and boy he was wrong. They created the monster and brought it up.One of the event's organizers at the product launch said “This is insane, I’m actually speechless, I didn’t expect something like that,” “This is one of the craziest product launches ever in the history of technology.” and surely it was. OK enough big talk, lets head to the numbers.

- 11 TFLOPS FP32
- 44 TOPS INT8 (new deep learning inferencing instruction)
- 12B transistors
- 3,584 CUDA cores at 1.53GHz (versus 3,072 cores at 1.08GHz in previous TITAN X)
- Up to 60% faster performance than previous TITAN X
- 12 GB of GDDR5X memory (480 GB/s)
Ok, if the 60% thing is true, then that's just too good , however Nvidia mentioned up to, yep the same up to you see on clothing sales.. But still i think the record breaking 3584 CUDA cores reinforce that fact to a great extent. It's very true to say that the Pascal architecture has proved revolutionary. Anyways those specs seem very pricey don't they, well it's of course more expensive than the previous TITAN X but only 200$ more. For those speechless on how cheap it is comparatively(its not cheap for a normal person), well this is the right time to say 'How Though'. Well the Pascal Architecture has introduced more stuff in a smaller chip which makes it cheaper and compact.
